Flamingo Summer at Silverburn

When three 8ft tall flamingos landed at Silverburn along with an large indoor beach complete with deckchairs, the centre team asked for our help to bring the activation to life – Flamingo Summer had begun!

We loved working on this campaign. A series of static and animated creative assets were pushed across Silverburn’s digital platforms, including social media, web content and a bespoke email template. Paid digital media and a radio campaign helped raise awareness of the activation while the centre’s digital screens, large scale totems and posters pushed the message out to shoppers in the mall.

Our ongoing campaign support included copywriting, digital strategy, and third-party agency liaison, while data capture was achieved through a retailer giveaway, with all activity perfectly aligned with PR and paid media.

Activities for the little ones included Flamingo Bingo and – of course – sandcastles at the indoor beach, while Glasgow Children’s Hospital Charity were onsite to supervise the beach and raise much needed funds through a pop-up charity shop and donations.

Flamingo Summer activity delivered consistent messaging and content across all touchpoints to create this lovely summer campaign, and it was such a fun campaign to work on.

Scotties By The Sea with BID St Andrews

We were delighted to work with BID St Andrews to design and create a location map for Scotties By The Sea, a public art trail spread through St Andrews and the Northeast Fife coast. Local artists and community groups decorated and named 30 Scottie dogs to form a free art trail for everyone to enjoy.

Scotties by the Sea was designed to celebrate the area’s creativity while raising money for Maggie’s Cancer Care. The Maggie’s brand colour was used for the hand drawn maps, and we created hand drawn illustrations of key landmarks in St Andrew, pinpointing the location of each sculpture by using what.three.words.

We created a key to help users find and identify each Scottie sculpture, working with BID St Andrews to collate all content required for the map. This was a great project which we really enjoyed working on, and it’s not over yet! The 10-week trail runs until 12th November 2023 so, if you haven’t visited yet, you’ve still got time.

Summer Safety for Mannering Industrial and Edrington

We have some amazing suppliers who help us with a myriad of requests, rarely as specific as an easel to hold 50 kilos of limestone… with one week’s notice! And when you do find those suppliers who pull out all the stops for you, and they come to you looking for help – it’s a joy to return the favour.

The team at Mannering came to Whitewall with a request for some safety signage for a client of theirs. Edrington were growing concerned about the safety of their in-house teams in the workplace, so we created an number of concepts to get the safety messages across.

We wanted to highlight that the reason staff are asked to be safe in the workplace is to get them home safely to do the things they love. Using imagery and creative messaging, we put the human side of safety back in the hands of the team.  The concept has further evolved to feature actual members of team which is a nice personal touch, and hits the nail on the head (pun not intended!).
