Website build & content management services

Beaumont is a local shopping centre in the suburbs of Leicester. Anchored by Tesco Extra, the shopping centre also acts as a hub for the local community. We performed content management services for the shopping centre from summer 2022 until summer 2024.

The challenge

After coming under new ownership in 2022, Beaumont needed to build a new website and source an agency to provide web content management services. The shopping centre needed to transfer various digital marketing assets from its previous owners to a new agency. This included the domain name, Google Business Profile, GA4 and sourcing hosting. Centre Manager Simon Revill had worked with us before so he reached out to ask if we could help.

The solution

We designed and built a new WordPress website which would be easily updated and could grow with the centre, with secure hosting provided by our trusted partner agency, Ninetwo Design. We worked in collaboration with social media agency Kat’s Whiskers to deliver consistent messaging across all platforms. We also liaised with partners old and new to transfer digital assets such as analytics and Google Business Profile.

During the two years we were retained on content management services, we also provided a range of digital marketing support as shown below.

  • Technical and on-page optimisation.
  • Web content management including regular updates, retailer offers, landing pages and events.
  • Tracking online engagement with events like Jurassic Takeover and Outer Space for Kids.
  • Created competitions with scope for data capture.
  • Promotion of new retailer openings.
  • Reporting via Google Analytics/GA4.
  • Technical maintenance and updates.
  • Ad hoc digital marketing services to support the Beaumont team

The results

When the new site launched, it saw an uplift in page views of 39% with a 9% drop in bounce rate.

Over the year from July 23-July 24, we saw a 33% increase in organic traffic to the site, along with a 34% increase in new users.
