3.5 million steps, 108 books and one proposal…

Another year has almost passed and what a quick year it’s been. Here’s a snapshot of what we’ve been up to at Whitewall this year.

Kicking off with the most paw-pular member of the Whitewall team! Pepper’s highlights included lots of office cuddles, getting a new bed (although you’d hardly know since he’s only slept in it once!) and special ear rubs from his favourite, Heather. His low points? His bestie Erin leaving!

Pepper, Whitewall Marketing's regular 4-legged visitor.

Ailsa’s enjoyed working on new business and with some wonderful new clients this year – not to mention recruiting Andy to take some work off her plate! 😉 On a personal note, she listened to more than 25,000 musical minutes from over 700 artists – literal music to her ears on her daily commute and long walks with her dog Woody.

Helen’s top professional highlight was moving back to the dark side – agency life. She loves working with the Whitewall team (her words, not ours!). She’s also walked over 3.5 million steps this year. We’re out of breath just writing that! Well done, Helen.

It was a bit of a whirlwind year for Lucy – but in a good way!  In March, she was promoted to Senior Digital Account Executive and learned a lot from the challenges thrown her way. Fast forward to December and she’s just taken on the role of Digital Account Manager. She looks forward to seeing what the new role brings in 2024. And some of our clients may not have heard that Lucy got engaged in September on the sunny Irish Cliffs of Moher. She’s now getting stuck into wedding planning, which is a job in itself! Roll on 2025…

Rachel thoroughly enjoyed working with some lovely new clients this year, and she’s looking forward to some exciting campaigns coming up in 2024. Her personal highlight was spending a day full of joy at her aunt and uncle’s wedding in the summer. ❤

Heather achieved her Goodreads goal of reading 45 books in 2023. That’s almost one book a week! She discovered some new favourites this year, and highly recommends The Secret History by Donna Tartt.

According to Mark, the highlight of his year was Helen making him a coffee. Doesn’t get much better than that…

In June, we waved Jo off on adoption leave to take care of her adopted son. We’re all missing her stripey t-shirts and loud typing (if you know, you know). But we’re not surprised that she’s got no time to miss us, thanks to the whirlwind of new parenthood!

In August, Marna travelled the Gold Coast of Australia and saw two of the seven natural wonders of the world – the Great Barrier Reef and the Wet Tropics Rainforest. Check out Marna’s photos below – we’re not jealous at all… :/

We said a bittersweet goodbye to Account Manager Erin in August. It’s great to see members of the Whitewall team take the plunge and challenge themselves with new opportunities, but we do miss Erin’s calm presence and baked treats in the office.

According to Andy, joining the Whitewall team in October as Senior Digital Account Executive was the highlight of his year. We’re getting all choked up!

Susan B had an unforgettable trip to London in November to watch her 10 year old daughter perform in a West End show with her drama group. We’re pleased to report that no legs were broken on the night!

Lara visited Crete for the first time this year, and a highlight was watching her dog Murphy getting his first taste of snow! ⛄

Last weekend, we all had a blast in Inverary for our Christmas night. The Scottish weather scuppered our plans for a festive photoshoot – but enjoy a few rather blurry after-dinner shots below. Rachel and Susan did a great job of avoiding the camera… but we’ll get a group shot one of these days. :/

That’s a quick run through of what we’ve been up to, and we’d like to thank you all for being part of such a great year! Here’s to an even better 2024.
